10K? Are you serious?

There’s no turning back now. After trying on the medium singlet, the woman at the desk asks me, “anong race po ito?” I say “10K.”

I swallow hard. I check “S” for my friend’s singlet’s size, while I check “M” for myself.

I wish myself some luck, as I haven’t been running and going to the gym for the past few days. My most recent run was this morning–when I ran to work to make it on time. Other than that, I don’t see any plans to hit the gym or the road again for a run. And I’m partying tomorrow until Sunday. I have a deadline on Monday. I’m planning to meet up with friends next week. And I’m going to the karaoke next Friday, and go clubbing until Saturday.

I’m beginning to think that I’m not taking this running thing seriously anymore.

I did enjoy the run this morning, though. I was on time for work!
